MX Orbital Transport - MX Cherokee

Semroc is proud to announce the release of the MX Orbital Transport and MX Cherokee.

The Orbital Transport was the first Micro Maxx rocket to be designed by Semroc, it was delayed because we did not have the best nose cones designed for the kit. Once that was ironed out we released the kit. The design was a collaboration between Randy Boadway and Jay Berry. We wanted to use strong materials and make assembly easy. All of the Semroc Micro Maxx line of rockets includes Basswood Laser Cut Fins so we could make them thin as they are scaled down from the originals. The arts are also engineered to work well for the specific rocket. The Orbital Transport is jigged to go together very straight with very little need to make any measurements during assembly. Durability is also important, the entire hook design for the glider had to be redone to make it strong and reliable. The first boiler plate we were concerned about losing the glider so we painted the glider red so we could easily find it on the ground. That was totally unnecessary as the rocket only flew about 100 feet in the air and it was easy to see the rocket and glider come back to Earth.

The MX Cherokee became a reality after we polled our customers about what MX kit they would like to see. Surprisingly, we already had the nose cone available, so it was an easy development on our part. Phil Queen has done all the MX instructions keeping up with the high standards we place on instructions.

Finally, at eRockets we have all the needed components to fly these tiny rockets including motors and the Micro Maxx Launch Stand that attaches to an existing launch rod to help you get your Micro Max rockets in the air.
